Meet Deborah Ajeboriogbon

Deborah Ajeboriogbon OBE, the convener of this work, is a social development expert, educator, and advocate for Nigeria’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). She is committed to empowering youth, raising mental health awareness, and fostering sustainable growth.

Deborah’s journey began with a solid academic background. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at Osun State University (2012–2016) and graduated with distinction from the University of Ibadan, where she completed a Master’s degree in Sustainable Development Practices in 2021. This educational foundation prepared her to take on meaningful roles in education and social advocacy.

Deborah is deeply passionate about mentoring young adults, helping them uncover their purpose and navigate life’s challenges. Through personalized guidance, she empowers her mentees to thrive in their careers while fostering mental well-being. Her approach focuses on building strong relationships that inspire confidence and resilience.

In addition to her hands-on mentorship, Deborah has authored works addressing adolescent mental health and reviews academic papers in her field. These contributions reflect her dedication to advancing knowledge and creating supportive environments for young individuals.

Deborah is a vocal advocate for early childhood development and adolescent mental health. Through her publications and initiatives, she raises awareness of the mental health challenges facing adolescents, striving to create protective environments that enable healthy adulthood.

Recently, Deborah has expanded her interests into finance and social innovation, exploring the integration of artificial intelligence into her work. She actively participates in webinars and courses to sharpen her skills and drive impactful change in these areas.

As a Chemistry and Basic Science Teacher at Borik Comprehensive School, she fostered curiosity and critical thinking among her students (2018–2019).

At IMAGES Initiative, Deborah supported community health programs, contributing to better outcomes in public health (2020–2022).

With REES Africa, she worked tirelessly on projects aimed at enhancing community welfare and environmental sustainability (2019–2023).
